Manchester United 'receive Jadon Sancho offer'
After Man United’s Sunday loss to Arsenal, winger Jadon Sancho claimed Erik ten Hag had used him as a “scapegoat.”
Jadon Sancho has reportedly been offered a transfer by an undisclosed Saudi Arabian club to Manchester United.
Despite not participating in the loss to Arsenal the day before, Sancho made headlines on the back page of the newspaper on Monday morning after alleging that Erik ten Hag had used him as a “scapegoat.” The United manager was questioned about the absence of the England international at his post-game press conference on Sunday.
Ten Hag reacted by stating that Sancho was dropped because his training performances were subpar. On social media, the 23-year-old advised his followers to “not believe everything you read” and that this was “untrue.”
Since then, Sancho’s future in Manchester has been unknown. According to TV Dello Sport journalist Rudy Galetti, a bid from the Middle East has been made. Late on Tuesday, Galetti tweeted: “A Saudi Arabia club is looking into the possibility of signing Jadon Sancho and just submitted the Man United star an official offer.
“Continued evaluations: Changing situation.” The left-sided winger’s Old Trafford deal has three more years left, so United would need a substantial offer to persuade them to trade.
Also this week, Besiktas reportedly made an offer for another United player after signing Eric Bailly. According to Turkish news outlet Fotospor, Hannibal Mejbri is the next player they are monitoring.
The midfielder from Tunisia, who spent the previous campaign on loan at Birmingham City, was named to the Emirates matchday roster on Sunday. Besiktas reportedly offered United a loan for Hannibal, but the offer was turned down.
The 20-year-old was thought to be a promising potential by Besiktas who would have ‘exploded’ in the Turkish Super Lig. Borussia Dortmund reportedly had interest in the defensive midfielder, according to MEN Sport, but United were impressed with him during the preseason tour of the US.
